our story
Cole and Bailey Renner are high school sweethearts from Norton Kansas, raised in families with deep agricultural roots. Both attended Kansas State University, where Bailey pursued her path to becoming a Physician Assistant and Cole earned a degree in Agronomy with a minor in Animal Science. While at K State, Cole competed on the Forage Judging Team and the 2017 Livestock Judging and Meat Animal Evaluation Teams, experiences that sparked his passion for high quality cattle and shaped his career path.
After graduating in 2018, Cole returned to the family farm and gained hands on experience working alongside his uncle on a Charolais ranch near Monument Kansas, focusing on artificial insemination, heat detection, and calving management. In 2020, Cole joined HCR, where he further expanded his knowledge of the purebred cattle industry. Bailey completed PA school in 2022, and the couple married that fall.
Now back in Norton, Cole and Bailey welcomed their son, Copper Delton Wade, in August of 2025. Bailey works as a Physician Assistant at the local hospital, and Cole owns and operates Renner Charolais Ranch in southern Norton County.
Craig and Cheri Renner also bring lifelong agricultural experience to the operation. Both were raised on family farms in northwest Kansas and built their life together in Norton after Craig pursued a career in banking. In 1998, they purchased their first land south of Norton and began building a cow herd that would grow and diversify over time. Cattle have always been central to their family, and that legacy continues today.
